NALS Award of Excellence Finalists Are Announced!
NALS wishes to congratulate the finalists for this year’s Award of Excellence:

The Award of Excellence is the highest award that can be given from NALS. Each finalist is required to participate in a personal interview during the NALS 63rd Annual Education Conference and National Forum. The finalists will be recognized and the award recipient will be announced at the Recognition Luncheon on Saturday, October 4, 2014.

Attention Certification Exam Applicants!
If you registered to sit for a NALS certification exam during the September 2014 testing period, please contact NALS Education/Certification Manager immediately to ensure that your application has been received. We were recently made aware that our online application form was not submitting properly, so we ask that all those who submitted applications online, please double check with NALS to confirm that it was received.

Court Observance Week 2014
Today, 40 years after the proclamation was signed, NALS continues each year to recognize the second full week of October as Court Observance Week. To highlight its 40th year, NALS New Legal Professionals’ Task Force has created not only a theme, “A Day in the Life of a Legal Professional: From Shadows to the Spotlight,” but a nationwide initiative… a NALS Job Shadowing Day!  This program, if implemented in each and every NALS state and local chapter, will serve as a nationwide initiative to introduce the legal profession, and the court system, to students. Click here to read more!
