Every one I need some help on ideas for membership projects. My Board keeps bouncing around different ideas, but nothing on their end if they want me to make it happen. As chapter President and membership chair I of course want to do my chapter proud. I don't know where to begin and would like some advice as to such. My first step is preparing letters to go out to all of the law firms in our area. In this letter I will give an overview about our chapter, NALS, and our mission. Some guidance would be great.

Hi Sarah, congrats on the career change and one year anniversary at your firm. This profession is challenging, yet rewarding at the same time. It is funny that one of my friends made the exact same career change as you. She worked at a history museum and also studied art and history in school. I wish you the best in your new career.

I'm happy to see that this article has become a resource for some; however, I must re-iterate that I am not an attorney, and the information provided was mostly for resource purposes.

For individuals in specific states with specific questions, I recommend the additional resources found on another website pertaining to "anti-gambling" laws (http://www.gambling-law-us.com/).

And above all, please remember to seek out the advice of an attorney or call the local attorney general's office or state department responsible for gaming regulation in your state for your specific questions.
