The NALS 2015 Professional Development and Education Conference was held February 26-28, 2015, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Various members from around the country were in attendance and were able to learn, network, and expand their leadership experience within NALS. Attendees participated in break out sessions where they were able to network and learn from leaders holding similar leadership positions within their local and/or state chapters. They gained knowledge and new ideas to grow their chapters.
The NALS Board encouraged the members in attendance to explore the up and coming “Generation Y” and change their chapters’ current way of thinking and views on their local and state levels. There were numerous Generation Y NALS members in attendance who were able to share great insights, ideas, and opinions on the future of our association. The NALS Board invited the membership to read the book “Knowing Y.” This book shares various ideas and explains the mindset and many views of Generation Y.
Great CLE and leadership sessions were presented at the 2015 NALS Professional Development and Education Conference that allowed those in attendance to gain up to 12.5 hours of CLE credit.
