Chrysler Museum of Art
Downtown Norfolk’s famous ... Chrysler Museum of Art contains
one of the Country’s premier, permanent collections of more
than 30,000 pieces spanning 5,000 years of Art History. Visitors
can view the Museum’s world renowned Tiffany-Glass Collection,
Photography and works of Art from Africa... Egyptian... Pre-Columbian...
Islamic and Asian Cultures plus extensive European & American
collections of paintings, sculptures and decorative Art.
Chrysler Museum offers a full-schedule of free programs & activities
to the public, including concerts, theatrical performances, children’s
tours & lectures. Chrysler Museum’s waterfront site houses
a highly regarded Education Department, a 300- seat theatre,
Palettes Restaurant, a gift shop, and the Jean Outland Chrysler
Library ( the largest art reference library in the southeast
).
Museum Hours are Sunday 1 PM - 5 PM & Tuesday - Saturday
10 AM - 5 PM
Nauticus Maritime Museum
National Maritime Center is a spectacular entertainment & educational
museum that’s part interactive museum... science center... and
aquarium. Through special hands-on exhibits, movies, computers
and games, visitors can land a jet fighter on an aircraft carrier...
navigate an ocean-going vessel and rescue precious sea life in
the world’s first group virtual reality attraction plus... you
can make decisions in a highly realistic Naval Battle.
Nauticus also features the giant-screen Academy Award ® nominated
film, “The Living Sea” and the Hampton Roads Naval Museum. Nauticus
is open from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm, 7 days a week (Memorial Day-Labor
Day). Hours for the rest of the year are 10:00 am - 5:00 pm Tuesday
- Saturday, and Noon - 5:00 pm on Sunday. Entertainment Book

Waterside Marketplace
