Julie Abernathy, NALS President-Elect
Hello everyone! I would like to introduce myself to you. I have been a member of NALS since 1975 (yikes) when I joined the Waco chapter (TX). In 1977, my husband’s job transferred us to Austin, and I have been a member of Austin LSA, Inc. for over 30 years. I have two grown children who have given me three beautiful granddaughters. I am single. Some of the fun things I love to do are traveling, spending time with my friends, reading murder mysteries and romance novels, hiking in Big Bend National Park, riding my mountain bike with my oldest granddaughter, and sitting on my back patio on a beautiful Spring morning sipping coffee and reading the Sunday newspaper.
I am truly looking forward to an exciting year of planning this year as NALS’ president-elect. I will begin my quest to fill all the positions for chairmen and committee members for the 2009-2010 leadership team this summer. I have been invited to attend several regional conferences, and I am looking forward to meeting many more members this summer during my travels.

Julie,
Installation on Friday the 13th and originally joined NALS in Waco - is there a theme there some where? :)
All kidding aside, the members of Region 7 are thrilled that you are joining us for our Annual Meeting in June in Newport, OR, and providing us with a motivational presentation on leadership.
We also are thankful to the NALS Foundation for providing an ATM grant that assisted in making your visitation possible!
NALS ROCKS!!
Ann M. Lang, Region 7 Director
