Gobble Gobble
Much has happened in NALS Land these past few weeks. Have you seen the list of the new board of directors? What an awesome group of members the Association has voted in their respective board positions. I am anxious to work with each and every one of these awesome ladies once installed at the meeting in Tulsa on March 13th!
So, how does "gobble gobble" come into my message - it's all about preparation and planning. As we begin to plan for our Thanksgiving Feast, travels, and visits with family and friends, so must the current board begin to plan for the new board.
This also can relate to the state and local chapters as well. I have recently received e-mails from various chapters around NALS Land advising me of their newly elected officers. Transition into office is critical. If you are a current officer, please start now in grooming and mentoring your successor. I have always believed that I am not a good leader if the person behind me isn't greater than me.
Now is the time to start making 2009-2010 the best year your chapter has ever had. Please share ideas with other NALS members by posting comments to this blog.
In the meantime, Happy Thanksgiving to each and every one of you. Safe travels.

Hello NALS Land! And congratulations to the newly elected NALS Board members - it is going to be a thrilling year.
I have already begun "feeding" information to my successor, and plan to have her prepped and ready to jump in with both feet in March.
And I will echo Julie's sentiments for a Happy Thanksgiving and safe travels. May you all be happy, healthy, and blessed this season!
