Tulsa, Here we Come!
Hopefully you have registered for the Tulsa Professional Development & Education Conference. If not, the next deadline is January 15, so take advantage of the registration fee before it goes up!
Need a car for the Conference in Tulsa? Although Alamo is not one of NALS Affinity members, you may want to check this out! One of our members got a promotional e-mail from Alamo. (Isn't networking great?) Now through 5/31/09 they are offering special weekend rates in select cities. It's $10 a day. That's right - TEN DOLLARS a day. You can't use it on Wednesday (3/11) or the rate goes through the roof! The offer is good starting at 9 a.m. on Thursday 3/12/09 for a maximum of 4 days. You can pick up the car on Thursday and return it when you head back to the airport on Sunday. The offer is good only for compact to premium cars - NOT vans or SUVs. Not much room in the trunk for luggage, so you may only be able to use it for 2 people unless you pack light.
Go to the Alamo website and type in 7014691 in the corporate ID section. It should come up with a price of $10 per day in the block where all the pics of the cars are or $40 rental period. When you get your confirmation, it will include all those airport taxes: $62.80. Still a bargain! Of course, you will need to fill the tank before you return the car. It's a great way to get around and see the sights in Tulsa.
