NALS
School Accreditation Program
Most
of us recognize the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval affixed
to many household products. Many advertisements tout this seal
as a means to evaluate the advertised product against others
in the market.
NALS
has its own “seal of approval.” The NALS School
Accreditation Program provides a means by which any learning
institution may have its program evaluated, approved, and accredited
by NALS.
The
benefits of being associated with NALS are numerous. These
benefits include a curriculum that is developed by “experts”
in the legal profession, networking opportunities for the school
and its students, prestige for the students and the school, and
an accreditation program that notifies the school’s community
and students of the fact that the school is dedicated to the
achievement of excellence. Each individual must review the positive
aspects associated with affiliation with a national organization
against not being affiliated.
The Application may
be downloaded from the NALS website and upon its completion
and payment of the $125 application fee, the full Accreditation
Guide will be provided to guide the learning institution step-by-step
through the process. Note: All learning institutions whose
programs are already approved by the American Bar Association
(ABA) may streamline the NALS Accreditation process by completing
the Application, paying both the application fee and annual
accreditation membership fee, and including proof of ABA approval.
