Seminar
Modules
In 2004, NALS introduced individual Seminar Modules available
for sale. The available modules and their price are listed on
the NALS website.
Each
module contains a Lesson Plan, suggested handouts, and a PowerPoint
presentation which includes the Lesson Plan on the notes pages.
Lesson plan material is coordinated with a suggested slide
for your convenience.
These
materials may be modified to meet time and audience needs.
Additionally, the material is easily adaptable in the instructor’s
own teaching style. The instructor is free to add other information,
personal experiences, etc. The instructor should have access
to the text resources noted for each module.
Suggestions
for using the seminar module:
1.
Find qualified, experienced instructor(s). If you are unable
to locate a qualified instructor, you may wish to contact
one of the NALS national instructors. Contact the Education
Manager.
2.
Print out the Lesson Plan. You may wish to modify the format,
the font, the spacing, the page breaks, etc., in any way
that works well for the instructor.
3.
Provide continuing education certificates to the attendees
for the exact hours of the seminar.
4.
Print out the PowerPoint if you want to give handouts to
the attendees. We suggest printing not more than three slides
to each page. If you are unable to use the PowerPoint, you
may wish to print the slides as overheads.
These
materials are copyrighted by NALS . . . the association for
legal professionals. All rights reserved. You are authorized
to use them for teaching purposes only. This material remains
the property of NALS and may not be reproduced in any manner
without the express written consent of NALS.
All
modules expire one year from the date of purchase. This is
necessary to make sure that only current materials are being
used.
Every
effort is made to keep the contents of the modules in line
with the current editions of the noted reference books and
at the point of sale. If the purpose of your presentation is
for exam preparation we strongly suggest that you verify the
list of current text books at the NALS website and either update
these materials to reflect the current editions (including
annotations) or purchase the latest version of the module.
