of Justice Award What is the NALS Foundation Scales of Justice Award? The Scales of Justice Award is an award presented by the NALS Foundation to recognize persons or entities who: • Improve
access to justice Any person or business in your legal community who promotes the legal profession is eligible to receive the award. Recipients are not required to be NALS members (but they can be). Whom to nominate: • Judges
who remove impediments in the court systems to support access
to legal assistance for low income persons What does the Award Recipient receive? The NALS Foundation will present a handsome certificate, suitable for framing, to the Award Recipient. In addition, the Award Recipient will receive publicity through press releases and recognition on the NALS Foundation web site. Who can submit nominations? Individual members of NALS, chapters or state associations can submit a nomination. The submitter will be named in all publicity (unless anonymity is requested). The process is easy and you can submit your application at any time.
