Director
General: The
Marketing Director may act as chairman of the Marketing Committee
and works to publicize seminars and meetings through the local
news media and colleges and provide press releases for special
events and/or certifications; develop and implement direct
marketing opportunities; and secure advertising/corporate sponsorship
to promote association activities.
Suggested
Duties:
These are merely suggestions and are the bare minimum:
- Maintain
a publicity list which should include names and addresses
of colleges and/or technical schools with legal courses,
local bar association publications, local newspapers, business
publications in the area, legal newsletters, and local radio
and television stations which carry announcements.
- Prepare
press releases as required.
- Maintain
a Marketing Guide to assist with marketing efforts.
- Place
ads, articles, and announcements in other legal publications.
- Contact
advertisers to solicit ads for newsletters.
- Maintain
and contact corporate sponsors and develop new corporate
sponsors to solicit sponsorship of association activities.
