Questions
& Answers About Submitting Website Items
1.
How do I submit an article from my committee
for the web site?
Send
an e-mail with your item either attached to the e-mail or
in the body of the e-mail message. If it is not possible
to send as a MS Word attachment, sending an “html”, “htm”,
“RTF” (rich text format), or “PDF” submission
is also acceptable.
2.
How do I get something on the web site linked to another site?
It
is suggested that you not copy and paste information from
the web site into your item, because it is much simpler just
to provide a link to the information. Simply provide the
URL of the page you want to link to (like below), and the
Resource Center Staff will insert the link: Insert a link
to http://www.nals.org/[insert page].html here
3.
Are there different rules on who to send my articles to?
• Calendar
Events: State Association calendar events are submitted
directly on our State Association Calendar of Events page.
There is a SUBMIT
EVENT link and your request will be sent to the Resource
Center. For the calendar, it is best to use the online
submission form as it will be submitted in the proper format.
• Newsletters: Regional
Director Newsletters should be sent to the e-mail address
of the Web Team member designated for that purpose. A direct
link is provided on the Newsletter Index page currently at www.nals.org/newsletters/regionalnews/
• E-News
Items: The items for E-News are
collected from various committees by the Marketing Committee.
The newsletter is then compiled by the NALS Resource Center
staff and distributed by e-mail and posted to the web site.
If you have items to be placed into E-News, send your items
to the relevant committee, with the request that they submit
your item to the E-News Editor.
• New
Member List: All new member information is provided by the
NALS Resource Center staff and posted by a member of the
Web Team.
• Certification
Exam Pass Lists: The pass lists are provided to the
Web Team by the NALS Resource Center staff, with the date
the list should be posted and then posted by a member of
the Web Team on that specific date.
• Conference
Information: Members of the Web Team work with the
NALS Resource Center staff to maintain and post information
for upcoming conferences.
