NALS Launches New Website!
Tuesday, September 02, 2014
The NALS staff and Board of Directors are pleased to announce the launch of our new association management platform/website! You should notice a huge improvement upon your next visit! As we work with the new system, we believe it will offer a heightened level of functionality, allowing our members to do more, access more, and generally make better use of www.nals.org.
You asked and we listened!! The new system will now be notifying members via email when their membership and/or certification expiration dates are approaching! Some of you may have already received notification emails generated by the new system. We regret that these emails were sent prior to the official notification and we apologize for any confusion they may have caused. Please be patient with us, and the new system, as we continue to learn and iron out the kinks.
As a function of the new website, we were required to reset all usernames and passwords. You can login at any time and change these to something unique to you. Instructions on how to do this are below:
Upon initial sign in you may see a 'My Preferences' page which allows you to customize your member profile options, however many of these features are new and it may not be clear at this time what you should select, so you can bypass this page by selecting 'Save My Settings' at the bottom of the page. Once you pass this page you can get to your profile information by selecting EDIT BIO from your 'Profile Home' page. Please explore the new platform, change your password, and update your profile information.
If you did not receive a copy of the "Launch Email" that was sent on September 2, 2014, containing your new login information, please contact the NALS Resource Center and we will resend.
The NALS Genius Bar Task Force will be developing how-to guides and will be available for one-on-one assistance with questions you may have about the new site during the 63rd Annual Education Conference & National Forum in Houston this October.
Thank you for your continued support and participation in NALS. Let us know if you encounter any problems, have questions, or if we can be of assistance.
