Leadership

Leadership is a process of getting things done through people.  In order to be a good leader, you have to be a good follower.  Always work with others around you to improve your skills and their skills.  Be supportive of everyone around you.  Encourage them to be the best that they can be at whatever it is they chose to do.

When I was a child, I always believed that I would never amount to anything because my father made me believe it.  In the early years of adulthood I still believed that was true.  I made a change in my life when I was thirty-two years old.  I decided I did not want to be a waitress for the rest of my life so I went back to school and became a paralegal.  I have learned through NALS….the Association for Legal Professionals that I can be a leader.  I have also learned that I can do anything I want to as long as I set my mind to it.

Everyone is a leader in some way.  We just need to take those skills and apply them to our daily lives.  We all have someone to look up to and someone who looks up to us.
