The Five Steps of Leadership
Challenging
the Process
Experimenting
and taking risks. Trying new things can be scary and difficult
at times, but it must be done. Whether it be in trying a
new meeting format, or cutting out a meeting or two, if you
are not willing to try, you are missing out on a learning
opportunity.
Inspiring
a Shared Vision
Setting
the course for the future. Working together to raise our
membership numbers through new and creative ideas. No single
person can do this – we must all participate.
Enabling
Others to Act
Giving
people the resources to fulfill their responsibility. By
trusting people to do the job for which they have signed
up for, you are enabling them to act.
Modeling
the Way
Be
a role model. Let your actions set an example for others
to follow.
Encouraging
the Heart
Celebrating Accomplishments. This is a great way to recognize
contributions that people have made in your organization.
One way of doing this is by handing out awards. Everyone
loves being rewarded and recognized!!
