From the Foundation

I’m not sure how I discovered ForImpact.org and The Suddes Group,
but I recommend signing up for their weekly online wow (W.O.W.) e-mail. There
is always something positive about the W.O.W e-mail and while the
focus is on nonprofits and raising funds, the ideas expressed in
the e-mails can easily translate into action for not only the NALS
Foundation but for NALS.
The most recent issue of the W.O.W. e-mail is titled “How to Stay
Bullish in Bearish Times” and deals with staying positive in negative
times. Granted,
the issue addressed is fundraising but what if you take the principles and apply
them to your chapter, to a membership campaign, to an educational event, or to
a certification program? Think about it.
Three ways to stay BULLISH in BEARISH TIMES.
THINK BIG. Asking 10 or 100 people for a $100,000 project is 1,000 times
harder than finding the one person who loves the project and wants to see it
happen.
BUILD SIMPLE. The clear, concise, compelling message around Purpose,
Priorities and Plan. That's “all” it takes.
*Some fun alliteration: Complexity, Complaining and Confusion Create
a Cacophony of Contradictions that Condemn a Clear, Concise, Compelling
Case.
ACT NOW. Don't “bunker hunker”. Don't hide in your office. Successful achievers
in this financial climate are out making visits, making great presentations and
making money for their organization.
