Quotes, Athletes, and Grammar Mastery -- Oh My!

Leading the Way - August 2009

NALS Foundation

It is through the support the NALS Foundation receives from NALS members that we are able to continue putting your dollars to work for you.  Just ask the recipients of the September 1 grants - Northwest Arkansas LSP, NALS of Greater Seattle, NALS of West Michigan, and Idaho Association of Legal Secretaries.

Our Keynote Speakers in Irvine are brought to you by The NALS Foundation in partnership with Region 4: Gavin W. Manes, PhD and Jon Gordon.  Dr. Manes will discuss the overall issues with handling of privileged information in the context of digital forensics investigations and the electronic discovery process.  He will also discuss digital redaction and clawback procedures as methods to protect privileged information.  Mr. Gordon is the author of the international best seller The Energy Bus: 10 Rules to Fuel Your Life, Work and Team with Positive Energy and The No Complaining Rule: Positive Ways to Deal with Negativity at Work.  He is a graduate of Cornell University and holds a masters degree in teaching from Emory University. When he’s not speaking to businesses or schools, you can find him playing lacrosse or basketball with his wife and two “high energy” children.

The Foundation can’t wait to top Saturday night off with our Purple Carpet Gala…the glam, the glitz, and the fun!  Be sure to be paparazzi ready!!!  Joan and Melissa Rivers are sure to “ooh” (what was she thinking when she put on that outfit?) and “ah” (a bad hair day looks 10 times better than she does!) over the fantabulous outfit of your favorite star as she struts her stuff on the Purple Carpet at the NALS Foundation Gala.
