Applying for a NALS Foundation grant is as easy as 1-2-3! Please review the simple three-step process below, and direct any questions you may have to the NALS Foundation Chair at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Step One: Decide on a Project!
In keeping with the NALS Foundation’s mission, grants will be awarded for programs which support education, leadership development, and/or certification. Applicants are also encouraged to develop innovative new programs that go beyond the typical, classroom-style, learning environment—but it does not have to be a new program! Need program ideas? Check out our extensive program idea bank, Jett Award Catalog, for award winning, successful programs.
Step Two: Complete the Online Grant Application!
Outline your proposal by completing the easy online application form, available at the bottom of this page, and answering each question as thoroughly as possible. To qualify for consideration, all requested information must be included with the application. The deadlines for receipt of proposals are:
- March 1
- June 1
- September 1
- December 1
You CAN receive a grant—it’s that easy! What’s the catch? There is no catch! All grant proposals will be reviewed by the NALS Foundation Board of Trustees and grants will be awarded at the discretion of the Board.
Step Three: Marketing and Follow Up
If your local chapter or state association is awarded a NALS Foundation grant, the only two things the NALS Foundation requires in return are:
- Give credit where credit is due! All marketing and distributed materials relating to the funded program must include the Foundation Logo with the following statement, “This project was made possible through a grant from the NALS Foundation.” Downloadable statements with the logo are available at the bottom of this page, for use by NALS Foundation grant recipients.
Tell us all about it! After completion of your project, you must complete the "Grant Project Report Form," available at the bottom of this page, in order to be considered for another grant in the future.
