|Grassroots-Level Think Tank|
NALS believes some of its best and brightest accomplishments are achieved through grassroots efforts across the country in state and chapter associations. NALS would like to bring together this wealth of talent to create a Grassroots-Level Think Tank, which will be comprised of NALS members—from association leaders to members-at-large to students and anyone in between—who represent diverse interests and concerns from all geographical areas. Whether you come from a small, large, struggling, or progressive chapter—or whether you have no state or local chapter in your area at all—we want YOUR voice!
The formation of this Think Tank will give members and leaders the opportunity to gather together and share experiences, find bright spots, create new innovation, design solutions for the future, and make the association work better for its members and the legal community. It will also give us the opportunity to discuss what is, and is not, working within our association and brainstorm potential improvements that will meet the needs of our members at all levels of the association.
NALS is extending an open invitation to ALL—yes, that means YOU—to participate in this Grassroots-Level Think Tank. The second in-person meeting will be held at the 2016 NALS Professional Development & Education Conference in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Thursday, February 25, 2016, at 9:00 a.m. Make plans now to be part of the decision-making process for the future of your association!
NALS highly encourages all state and local chapters to send representative members to participate. Additionally, students, members-at-large, and members who are NOT involved in chapter leadership are encouraged to attend as well. Our only requirement is that you are passionate about the future of NALS and desire to make a difference. If this describes you or someone you know, then this Think Tank is the perfect fit!
This significant Think Tank will meet with the NALS Board of Directors to brainstorm and develop the purpose and direction of the association. The findings and information gathered in this Think Tank will then be shared and presented to the entire membership during a forum session held during the conference in Tulsa. NALS envisions the Grassroots-Level Think Tank continuing to work together throughout the year, during which information and findings will be shared.
Sign Me Up! NALS is important to me! I want to be part of the decision-making process for the future of our association. I will be in attendance and participate on Thursday, February 25, 2016, at 9:00 a.m. at the NALS Professional Development Conference in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
