Step One: Decide on a Project!

In keeping with the NALS Foundation’s mission, grants will be awarded for programs which support education, leadership development, marketing, membership, certification, and/or an innovative new project.  Applicants are also encouraged to develop innovative new programs that go beyond the typical, classroom-style, learning environment—but it does not have to be a new program!

Step Two: Complete the Online Grant Application!

Outline your proposal by completing the easy online application form, available at the bottom of this page, and answering each question as thoroughly as possible. To qualify for consideration, all requested information must be included with the application.

The deadlines for receipt of proposals are March 1 and September 1. 

You CAN receive a grant—it’s that easy! What’s the catch? There is no catch! All grant proposals will be reviewed by the NALS Foundation Board of Trustees and grants will be awarded at the discretion of the Board.

Step Three: Marketing and Follow Up

If your local chapter or state association is awarded a NALS Foundation grant, the only two things the NALS Foundation requires in return are:

1. Give credit where credit is due! All marketing and distributed materials relating to the funded program must include the Foundation Logo with the following statement, “This project was made possible through a grant from the NALS Foundation.” Use the NALS Foundation logo and weblink wherever possible in your marketing. 

2. Tell us all about it! Within 60 days after completion of your project, you must complete the "Grant Project Report Form ."

Grant Application

Grant applications are accepted year-round. The Foundation Board of Trustees typically reviews applications and grants funds twice a year in March and September. Submit your application by March 1 or September 1 for consideration. Click here to submit an application (link requires NALS member login).
