Overview

Like any organization, the lifeblood of NALS is the people who get involved. From the Board of Directors and the staff, to the fundraisers and education coordinators, to the volunteers who run chapters and help plan conventions, every person has a role. Without them, NALS could not accomplish its goal of enhancing the competencies and contributions of members in the legal services profession.

Stay Connected

Going it alone isn’t always easy, and navigating your way through any professional landscape (whether you’re new or not) can be frustrating. NALS can help you establish the connections you’ll need to not just make it in the legal support industry, but thrive. If you’re looking for something close to home, you can find your local or state NALS Chapter and immerse yourself in the legal scene near you. Or, if you’d like to talk shop with people in your particular field of interest, take a look at our growing number of forum topics and commune with your professional peers from around the country.

Stay Informed

Keeping up with the news is a job in and of itself, and while there are many publications out there to choose from, NALS publications have some of the best content around. Quarterly, you will receive your very own copy of @Law, the NALS Magazine for Legal Professionals, which contains timely substantive law topics written by experts in the industry. Every month in the NALS docket, you can read such on-going columns as Grammar Nuggets (by Kathy Sieckman, PP, PLS, ACP), Leading the Way (by various NALS leaders), and Word Tips & Tricks (by Susan King). In addition to this regularly scheduled content, you’ll often see unique pieces submitted by other members of the community.
