NALS Membership Types and Fees

By joining NALS, you are agreeing to be bound by the NALS Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility, as well as the NALS Bylaws and Standing Rules. A person serving a sentence for a felony conviction is not eligible for membership. A member, to be in good standing, shall be current in the payment of dues or other accounts payable to NALS (as defined in Article V, Dues and Fees), as applicable.

Refund Policy

The entire fee, less a 25% processing fee, may be refunded if requested in writing within 48-hours of the submission of the original membership application. Cancellations after this period will forfeit the full amount of the membership registration or renewal fee.

State/Local Chapter Dues

As a part of the application process, applicants are required to join a State Chapter and a Local Chapter (if there is one in their area). The dues for the Chapters varies, so please refer to the following links for more information about specific Chapter Dues.

Student Verification

As a part of the application process, Student applicants need to provide documentation (transcript or other document that shows you are enrolled in an accredited program relating to work of a legal nature and are taking at least nine hours per semester/quarter) that proves they are eligible for membership. Failure to provide appropriate supporting documentation may lead to application delays.

For questions regarding acceptable verification, please contact membership@nals.org.

In the case of staffing changes, the company will decide whether to let the individual keep the membership or transfer the membership to another individual.

The company administrator may add or change individuals to the Company Membership at any point. If the addition would require the Company to move up a tier, the administrator will need to contact the NALS office to pay the cost for the increase before they are enabled to make the additions.

If you are interested in a Company Membership, please email membership@nals.org.

Up to 5 members - $520.00

Increments increase by 5, which equals an additional $520 due for each increment.
