Description

The Virtual Legal Training Course (VLTC) is an online learning system created to provide you with preparation for the Accredited Legal Professional (ALP) exam. 

 

Our VLTC, hosted at the national level, is informative and versatile. Participants can choose from a variety mediums [e.g., webinars, live online study sessions, etc..] for each of the required modules listed below. 

 

This product is the registration fee only for the Virtual Legal Training Course. This does not include membership dues, a requirement to participate. 


Purpose of the Virtual LTC

  • Designed to introduce industry newcomers to the legal support profession; 
  • Preparation for the Accredited Legal Professional (ALP) Exam;
  • Assists individuals who wish to relearn a specific tool, task or procedure; and, 
  • Introduction of new areas of law to individuals who have worked in the same field for a long period of time. 
 

Requirements of the Virtual LTC

To successfully complete the Virtual LTC, participants must complete thirty-four (34) credit hours of legal training within a one-year (1) period. A NALS credit hour of legal training equates to one-hour of dedicated study to a particular subject within a training module (listed below). Each Virtual LTC registrant must complete eight (8) credit hours in Module A, seven (7) credit hours in Module B, five (5) credit hours in Module C, and fourteen (14) credit hours in Module D. 

 

Each module contains required courses. NALS Virtual LTC participants must dedicate one-hour of study to all topics highlighted in blue. The remaining credit hours required for the successful completion of each module may be dedicated to any topic listed under the corresponding module.
