This session will explore the various methods of perfecting a UCC Financing Statement along with potential discrepancies and industry standards associated with filing. If you have filed a UCC against a borrower and made a mistake in typing in a debtor's name, for example, you would have created a hidden lien that could come back to haunt you after a deal or case has closed. Mandy Dietz and Ryan Baker of Capitol Lien will examine how to avoid filing mistakes, how to identify incorrect information that may cost you, and stress the importance of post verification searches. Some cost saving tips and tricks will also be applied for certain jurisdictions.

Presentation Date: July 13, 2016
11:30 am to 12:30 pm (Central Time)
